Come e stato iniziato How it all began

IL Progetto ReachOut nasce sulla scia emotiva suscitata dal terremoto che ha devastato la costa Pacifica di Tohoku in Giappone lo scorso 11 Marzo 2011. Mossi dalla capacità di recupero dei sopravvissuti a dispetto dei terribili danni che il terremoto,tsunami e la contaminazione radioattiva, abbiamo pensato di fare qualcosa. “ Come aiutarli?”, e dinnanzi alla tragedia immane di cui avevamo notizia ci è sembrato un compito impensabile.
Ma,viviamo in una comunità globale , dove ciò che succede da una parte del mondo ha conseguenze economiche, sociali personali da un'altra parte del mondo.Se riusciamo ad aiutarci attraverso i confini e le differenze, allora possiamo cambiare.Da soli abbiamo bisogno di aiuto, insieme possiamo fare che le cose accadano. Motivati dalla volontà di lavorare insieme abbiamo deciso di agire in aiuto.

This project Reach Out was born on the wake of the earthquake that occurred in the Tohoku Pacific coast region of Japan on March 11, 2011. Moved by the resilience of the survivors despite the damage and loss from the earthquake and tsunami, and the threat of radiation from a failed nuclear power plant, we felt we needed to something. “How can we help?”, we pondered, but seeing the magnitude of the tragedy it was an overwhelming task.

We live in a global community, where events in one part of the world have consequences, personal, social and economical in other parts of the world. If we reach out across borders and across our differences, we can make change. Alone, we are helpless, but together we can make things happen. Motivated by the belief in the strength of working together, we decided to act.
